Tree cabling & bracing in St. Cloud, FL
Some trees are worth holding together.
Cables and braces add support where a big tree has a weak fork, a split, or a limb carrying too much weight.
Cabling & bracing
Hold it together. Keep the shade.
Not every problem tree has to come down.
A big oak with two trunks in a tight V can often be supported instead of removed.
So can a crack starting at a big fork, or a long, heavy limb hanging over the patio.
Cabling and bracing don’t cure a tree. They lower the odds that a weak spot fails under wind and weight.
Cables go high in the canopy between major limbs, so the limbs share the load when the wind picks up.
Braces are rods set through a split or a weak union lower in the tree to hold it together.
Both are usually paired with a pruning that takes weight off the parts being supported.
A trunk that’s hollow at the base, or a tree already leaning at the house, is usually safer removed.
We’ll look at the whole tree and tell you honestly which side of that line yours is on.

Do cables hurt the tree?
Installed properly, the hardware is placed to let the tree move and keep growing. Cabled trees should be looked at from time to time so the system can be adjusted as the tree grows.
Is cabling cheaper than removal?
It depends on the tree. We’ll quote both options at the free estimate when both are realistic, and tell you which one we’d choose.
Can every split tree be saved?
No. Some splits run too deep or into decay. If removal is the safer call, we’ll say so.
