Harmony is about ten minutes east of us on US-192.
It’s the closest community on our side of St. Cloud, and one we drive through all the time.
Harmony was built as a planned community in the 2000s, laid out around Buck Lake and Cat Lake.
A large share of its land was set aside as open space, so many backyards face woods, wetland or pasture.
The homes are newer, and so are the trees: street palms, young oaks and pines along the preserve edges.
That means steady palm trimming, and young oaks shaped before they become a problem.
Now and then a pine or oak at the edge of the woods has to come down before it lands on a fence.
